New beginnings

New year = new beginnings. 

Hence why I did something I probably should have done over 3 years ago when I started university, I bought a new laptop!

My old trusty old friend had lasted me a grand total of 7 years and provided many good times but these days it was just a slow, noisy, dysfunctional mess. It was time for the old dinosaur to go to laptop heaven.

Thanks for everything old friend but now it's time for me to get on the new kid in town!!!

Roosevelt Island

This trip was all about seeing people, as opposed to doing stuff. I went to do exactly what everyone else does at Christmas: eat, drink, sleep and watch movies... but I was in my favourite place in the world!!

I got to see my sister at her new place in Williamsburg- a new part of town I got to know (loved it!) and I tripped uptown to see my bestie & the rest of my NY family- it was good to be back.

Going back made me really happy :-)

Hello iPhone 5.....

Oh em gee. I've just got with the times and hopped onto this iPhone madness. I'm still getting to know my lovely new sleek friend and getting a case for it asap as I do not trust my butter fingers!

I'm sorry for being so lame and not posting at all over the last month. I have been so busy with work, with dissertation, being away on holiday. As soon as this deadline is done next week I promise to wow y'all with some cool shit.

HAPPY NEW YEAR BY THE WAY. Oh, also we are not dead (doomsday)! So I hope you all had a drink to celebrate life. And I hope 2013 brings all of you only the best of things. I was in NYC for the last 10 days over Christmas & New Years and I actually watched the ball drop at Time Sq real time on the tv (obviously I'm not stupid enough to actually go down there).  

P.S- The glasses had to be done.
