I'm a relatively firm believer in karma- you know what goes around comes around and all that. I mean if you're a do gooder, good things should come around. And if you do shitty things, shitty things will come to you. Simple as that.  

That's why it's so important to be good to others. 

Have you recently indulged in a random act of kindness? I chose to use the word indulge because as we all learned from that friends episode when Joey tries to explain to Phoebe that there is no such thing as a selfless good deed (yes, all my important life decisions and philosophies are based on a TV show). 

I do feel as though a part of good deed-ing is to satisfy our own egotistical needs. And that's okay. We need a little boost every once in a while too. I think sending out good vibes is pretty important too, oozing positivity will show in your overall aura (as much as I hate to say the word aura). 

I'd like to think that MIA is glowing above because she is sending out good vibes (& wears lots of bling)

My housemate surprise ordered us a pizza and chicken wings the other night- good things will come to her, just you wait and see.

Life is but a dream

Watching Beyonce's HBO documentary 'Life is but a Dream' not only made me feel like I was actually BFF's with B but also made me proud to be a strong, independent (LOL-but true) woman. She really is doing it for all us girls out there. She films herself doing amazing, sad, funny, real things on her laptop and phone just like the rest of us. The doc actually felt like an invasion of privacy since she and J have always been one of those couples who have been so private. 

OH AND SO. MUCH. TALENT- let's not forget that.

Everyone must watch it.

Oh Oscar

My heart is broken and I am so saddened by this whole Oscar Pistorious tragedy. It truly is a tragedy. I feel like a 'hero' has fallen. Mixed emotions; did he do it? Was it a freak accident? We as a society are so good at placing these human beings up on a pedestal and forget that they are capable of making mistakes (big ones at that). We often feel let down by celebrities and sportspeople because we have these insane expectations of them.

I can't stop following the live updates from the journalists in the courtroom (nuts that so much press is allowed in there?!) when the hearings are on. Intense, in my head its all going down movie style in there.

Anyway, from the bottom of my heart I hope it really was unintentional. Then again, I had full faith in Lance Armstrong and look what happened there- let down m8. Its all just a little too crazy and sad for me to digest completely at the moment. We'll see what happens.
